Life of Bill Morgan

1925

Wolf “Yossela” Margulies is born in Czerniejow, Poland.

1941

Escapes from the Stanislawow ghetto and survives under a Christian alias. His parents and siblings do not survive the Holocaust.

1949

Emigrates to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and works at his sponsor’s shoe store.

1952

Buys a small café in Houston.

1953

Legally changes his name to William Jacob Morgan.

1953

Sells his café and becomes a meat supplier.

1954

Marries Shirley Grace Fallas.

1959

Founds Globe Construction and Management Company and builds it into a multimillion dollar company over the next three decades.

1987

Passes his company down to his two oldest sons, Mike and Ronnie, who incorporate it as Morgan, Inc.

1989

Is instrumental in the creation of Holocaust Museum Houston.

2011

Mike Morgan purchases Ronnie Morgan’s stock in Morgan, Inc. and rebrands the company, MORGAN.
