Josefina Almeda Cruz is born in Manila, Philippines.

1956

Performs a solo piano concert with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra at age 9.

1968

Graduates from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.

1971

Joins Merrill Lynch.

1972

Marries Ken Natori.

1974

Becomes a U.S. citizen.

1975

Becomes Merrill Lynch’s first female vice president of investment banking.

1977

Leaves Merrill Lynch to start The Natori Company.

2007

Receives the Order of Lakandula, the Philippines’ highest civilian award.
